What is the tree planting of the Green Mondial?

The Green Mondial’s tree planting counterbalances the greenhouse gases produced by the transportation of visitors, artists, folk groups and other participants of the Mondial des Cultures.

Is this activity really necessary?

This activity is absolutely necessary to establish the Mondial des Cultures carbon balance. As for a financial budget, the carbon balance establishes “ spending” – emissions due to transportation means – and “ revenues” -- carbon trapped into trees.
